Reading about UI Design and Usability, I often came across Information Architecture (IA). Even if at first the meaning of IA seemed obvious to me, I decided to read a bit more on the subject. Here are my findings.

For IBM Design, ease of use is an attribute they want their products to have, and user-centered design is the method they use and advocate for getting ease of use into products.

Agile, a rapid software development methodology. Now, what about usability in an Agile environment? Well, it might sometimes be difficult to work on usability in an everchanging environment.

Even with all the benefits it could bring, usability testing can quiclky turn out to be counterproductive. Indeed, it can be very time-consuming and costly. That’s why before starting usability testing, everyone should be aware that along the road to a successful usability test there are some pitfalls to avoid.

Here are some tips of my own to make sure everything stays on track.

Novice users need learnability.
Infrequent users need memorability.
Experts need efficiency.
